Nancy Elizabeth Gill Obituary

Nancy Elizabeth Gill passed away gracefully on March 4, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Affectionately known as “Fancy Nancy,” she was born on August 15, 1943, to Francis and Elizabeth Forte. Nancy graduated from Notre Dame High School and later attended Southern Connecticut State University. She began her career at State National Bank, where she met Tom, who would become her husband and lifelong partner. She later worked at St. Ann’s Church and at PriMed Family Practice, where her warmth and welcoming spirit made a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Nancy had a natural kindness and a beautiful smile that immediately put people at ease. She valued time with family and friends above all else and found joy in simple moments spent together.

Above all, Nancy shared a deep and devoted love with her husband, Tom. Their marriage was the foundation of her life, and she often said he was the love of her life. Together they built a family and a home filled with loyalty, laughter, and lasting memories.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Tom Gill; her children, Tom Gill, Chris Gill (Holly), and Alexis Gill Schuler (Steve);  her cherished grandchildren, Tripp, Ryan, Oliver, Grayden, and Sonny; her sister Susan Cassidy (Clayton), and her brothers, James V. Forte (Rosemary), and Christopher Forte (Insook).

She was predeceased by her brother, Francis Forte (Annette). Nancy is also remembered by many loving nieces and nephews.
