Rudolf (Rudy) Louis Divjak, age 81, of Milford, beloved husband of Ina (Ashen) Divjak, passed away at Connecticut Hospice, on Friday, February 20, 2026, after suffering a severe spinal injury due to a fall.
Rudy was born on May 10, 1944, in Enzesfeld, Austria to Michael and Rosina (Zucker) Divjak. Rudy immigrated to the US with his family in 1952. He graduated from Bullard Havens Technical School in 1962 and worked for several tool companies before becoming a co-proprietor of Poplar Tool & Manufacturing in Bridgeport. He retired in 2020 after 40 years in business.
In addition to his wife, he leaves behind his sister, Margaret Jeremics of Cincinnati, sister-in-law Robin (George) Eckford of Grand Island, NY, and sister-in-law Mary Divjak of Trumbull, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brothers Joseph and Alexander, and sisters Anna Grotti and Eleonora Stehle.
His wife would like to thank the nurses and staff at the YNHH-St. Raphael's SICU for their care during his stay, and the compassion at Connecticut Hospice for his comfort.
