William Thomas Collins, 83, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026. Born on August 16, 1942, Bill lived a life defined by service, devotion to family, and an unmistakable gift for storytelling.

    Bill was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Gail and Francis Collins, and by his cherished daughter, Eileen Collins, whose memory he carried close to his heart.

    He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Collins, his partner in life and steadfast companion through decades of shared memories. He also leaves behind his sons, John Collins and his wife Sarah, and Kevin Collins and his wifeLesley, who will forever carry forward his values, humor, and strength.

    Bill proudly served his country in the United States Army, a commitment that shaped his lifelong sense of duty. Following his military service, he devoted his career to protecting others as a Detective with the New York Police Department, where he was respected for his integrity, determination, and unwavering dedication to justice.

    Beyond his professional accomplishments, Bill was best known for his warmth and personality. He was an amazing storyteller, the kind of man who could captivate a room with a single tale, blending humor, wisdom, and heart in equal measure. His stories—often shared around a table or during long conversations—will be retold for generations.

    Music was one of Bill's great joys. He loved the sounds of Jimmy Buffett and Billy Joel, songs that reflected his easy-going spirit and deep appreciation for life's simple pleasures while enjoying a cocktail with friends and family.

    Bill's presence will be profoundly missed, but his legacy of service, laughter, and love will live on in the lives of those who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace.

    The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, February 7th, 2026, at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, located at 535 Ashford Avenue, Ardsley, New York 10502.
