**Obituary for Carole Ann Franklin**

Carole Ann Franklin, 87, of Southbury, CT, passed away on December 25, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.

Carole was born on December 11, 1938, in Pointe-Claire, Quebec, Canada, to William and Gwendolyn Stewart. She married Richard M. Franklin on September 15, 1962, and they enjoyed 58 years of marriage.

Carole worked as a secretary at General Foods Canada and later at Revan in Bridgeport, Connecticut. She was a devoted homemaker who loved reading, traveling, completing crossword puzzles, and taking annual trips with her two best friends, Patty Dube and Patty Leary.

She is survived by her son, Murray Franklin and his family of Key Largo, Florida; her daughter, Heather Pofok and her family of Oxford, Connecticut; and her grandchildren, Meg Rebolta, Arin Rivera, and Jay Franklin, all from Key Largo, Florida, as well as Elena Pofok from Oxford, Connecticut. Carole is also survived by her niece, Melody Stewart, and her nephews, Alex McEwing, Graham McEwing, and Jason Stewart.

Carole is predeceased by her brother, John Stewart, brother and sister-in-law, Carol and Keith McEwing; her parents, William and Gwendolyn Stewart; her in-laws, Dick and Florence Franklin; and her husband, Richard M. Franklin.

Per Carole's wishes, no services will take place. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a tree be planted in her memory or that a donation be made to the American Cancer Society.
