Barbara Peloso Osterberg peacefully entered into eternal rest on November 3rd, 2025, at the Carolton Hospital in Fairfield, CT. She was the widow of Charles Osterberg and was the daughter of the late John and Bess (Baskie) Peloso.

    Born in Greenfield Hill on 10/22/32, she cherished growing up with a wonderful family when the Hill was still a beautiful and quiet rural section of Fairfield. She attended the original Dwight school by her church, the Greenfield Hill Congregational and graduated from Roger Ludlowe HS where she met her husband, Charles. They married after graduation in 1950 and happily raised 3 children. Charlie, David and Betsy and two dogs and two cats. She loved being a stay-at-home mother and was active in their schools. She acted as room mother, volunteering in the library, lunchroom and was den mother for two years when the boys were Cub Scouts.

    When the children were grown and happily married, she and her husband of 43 yrs spent many happy hours sharing several outdoor hobbies and many family get togethers with the children and grandchildren. She loved nature, music, reading, walking and the NY Yankees and was happiest when she was with family.

    Survivors include her children, Charles in Vt, David (JoAnne) in Fairfield, and Betsy Osterberg Kovalusky in Oxford. Grandchildren Jackie Azarian (Gary), Lory Moomjian (Jeff), Kristin Osterberg, Heather Aloi (Armand), Chad Osterberg, Jennifer Passoni (Rob) and Beth Hyman. Great-grandchildren, Gary and Bryan Azarian, JoAnna and Dana Moomjian, Julianna and Olivia Osterberg, Robby and Allie Passoni, JJ and Molly Hyman, and many nieces and nephews.

    Barbara was predeceased by her brother John Peloso, son-in-law Charles Kovalusky, grandson David Osterberg Jr, and Leon Honchurik, her companion of 19 years.

    Barbara always said her three children were a huge part of her life, all her life.

    In accordance with her wishes, her services will be private at Oaklawn Cemetery. We know she is reunited with her loved ones in Heaven.
