With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jean Ann Skarren Quintiliano, who left us at the age of 93 on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the Gardner Heights Health Care Center in Shelton, CT.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Jean was the beloved daughter of Walter Skarren and Margaret De Chant Skarren (both deceased). She married Loreto A. Quintiliano on May 15, 1954, sharing a loving partnership until his passing on April 12, 1995.
Jean is survived by her dear sister, Frances (Che Che) York, her children Ralph Quintiliano (Carole), Loreto Quintiliano, Jr. (Jerri), John Quintiliano (Debbie), Jeanine Quintiliano, Adeline Quintiliano (Mark), Tina Quintiliano Ugas (Brian), Rhonda Quintiliano Pellegrino (Larry), and Ronald Quintiliano (Sandy). She also leaves behind an incredible legacy through her 27 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Jean was predeceased by her daughter Patricia A. Meszoros (Lou) on January 30, 2018, her son Robert L. Quintiliano on June 21, 2010, her daughter Susan T. Elston on July 6, 2022, along with her brothers Walter Skarren, Jr. and Robert Skarren, and sister Doris Wild.
Jean was known for her love of family, her enjoyment of the WICC Italian House Party, and her infectious laughter. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
