Victor Grotti, age 79, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2025. Born on June 28, 1946, in Austria to Albert and Anna Grotti.
Victor married the love of his life, Carol Bodie Grotti, on June 29, 1968. Together, they shared more than five decades of love and partnership, raising their two children and building a home first in Bridgeport and later moving to Fairfield, where they have now lived for over 40 years.
A proud graduate of Bullard Havens Technical School, Victor went on to further his education at Colonial Tool Design. With natural talent and a meticulous eye, Victor became an award-winning toolmaker. His career spanned decades, with respected positions that included AVCO, Textron Lycoming, and Inline Plastics. He was known not only for his precision and innovation but for the integrity and pride he brought to his work.
Outside the shop, Victor lived life to the fullest. He loved boating on Long Island Sound, fishing on calm mornings, and cheering on or wrenching behind his son and grandson in the dirt bike pits. He was a lifetime member of the Milford Riders Motorcycle Club.
Victor will be remembered for his steadfast character and tireless work ethic, which he passed on to his children and grandchildren. He leaves behind a legacy of craftsmanship, love, and laughter.
He is survived by his wife, Carol, daughter, Vicki McMaster and her husband Garrett, son, Victor Grotti and his wife Nancy.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 18th, 2025, from 3 PM to 8 PM at the Lesko Funeral Home, 1209 Post Rd, Fairfield Center. Services will continue on Friday, September 19th, 2025, from 10 AM to 11 AM, with a prayer service taking place at 11 AM. His burial will immediately follow at Mountain Grove Cemetery in Bridgeport, CT.
