Julia Bohnec Kolaric, 97, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2025, in her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Julia moved to Slovenia with her family at the age of five, where she later met her beloved husband, the late Roman Kolaric. A woman of quiet strength and unwavering dedication, Julia lived a life rooted in love, resilience, and grace.
She is survived by her children Marvin Kolaric, Margaret Fulop, and Michael Kolaric (wife Barbara); and by her cherished grandchildren: Julia Reilly (nee Fulop) (husband Sean), Andrea Fulop, Amanda Kolaric, Rhonda Kolaric, Anthony Kolaric and great granddaughter Alianna Reilly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Barbara Pucko Bohnec and Ignac Bohnec; twelve siblings; her daughter-in-law Ina Kolaric; son-in-law Frank Fulop; and granddaughter Jessica Kolaric.
Julia found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved working outdoors in her garden, crocheting and knitting with care, and traveling with friends and family.
She was a woman of quiet courage who led by example, teaching her family the value of hard work, independence, and deep commitment. Her legacy of love and resilience will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
