I had the distinct privilege of crossing paths with Kevin during his time at Eagle's Flight. We hit it off quickly & monthly meetings with Kevin were such a bright spot. I loved hearing him brag about Emily & the kids, also about his dad. After he left Eagles Flight, he'd text me every once in a while, just to check in. Genuine & kind-hearted.
I'm so sorry for your loss, Conklins. From a Client Success Manager in St. Louis, he was SO proud to be your husband & dad ❤️
Praying doe sweet memories & laughter amidst so much grief.

Kevin is our classmate (PCHS class of 1983) and friend. Smart, handsome, funny, athletic and sincere. His mom was my JV softball coach and his sister a varsity teammate. The Conklin family is a special family in the Port Chester community. I saw Kevin at our 40th high school reunion. Because we all had so much fun, we joked with the idea of a 60th birthday celebration in 2025. I reached out to him last summer while he was undergoing treatment. His strength, tenacity and positive attitude gave me the incentive to plan this important milestone birthday in our lives for September 2025. Kevin’s obituary is beautifully written and truly captured his character and spirit. To Kevin I would say, rest in peace and well done…your time here was well done.

Q: What will you never forget about Kevin?
A: Thirty five years ago Kevin and I sat next to each other in an incredibly boring lecture. We instantly became friends and stayed close throughout the years. I was honored to be in his wedding with the lovely Emily, to work together and to share the most important details of our lives. We talked often, but always on his birthday, and always about matters of substance. If you know him, you are aware there is nothing superficial about Kevin Conklin. And a promise will be kept- Kevin’s Korner will be open in 2028 in Bali.

Kevin was the first guy I met freshman year in Oneonta. We had 5 of us sharing a quad in Hayes Hall. It was a special group of guys with Kevin always smiling and laughing. I will always have great memories of our time together.

A beacon of joy where ever he was. One of the kindest, most genuine and truly fun person I have been around. Way Too Early.

Kevin was like our family, no words can help with a grief so deep. We always saw Kevin like another son and Joan and Walt as our children’s aunt and uncle.
Kevin was the kind of boy and man I wanted my son to be like. We miss him always. To Emily, Jason, Andrew and Lily our hearts reach out to you.
