Obituary of Emil Peter Bok

Emil Peter Bok, 100, of Fairfield, Connecticut, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.

Born to Bela and Helen Bok, Emil grew up in Fairfield and attended Roger Ludlowe High School, graduating in 1942. He served in the Army during World War II and was discharged in 1945 after several years of active service. Following the war, Emil worked as a truck driver for Hoffman Fuel until his retirement. He volunteered for many years at the senior center and was an active member of several societies at St. Emery's Church.

Emil was predeceased by his devoted wife, Bertha Gall Bok, as well as his five brothers and one sister. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Susan Bok; his son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Debbie Bok; his daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Michael Rainer; his sister, Dorothy Ceretta; his grandchildren, Chris, Karen, Lauren, Mathew, and Annamarie; his great-grandchild, Charlie; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

 The family would like to thank Marcee Homecare and their treasured caregivers.

Friends may greet the family on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Lesko Funeral Home, located at 1209 Post Road, Fairfield Center. Services will continue at St. Emery's Church in Fairfield for a 10 a.m. funeral mass. A funeral procession will follow to Lawncroft Cemetery, where Emil will receive full military honors and be laid to rest.
