Loretta (Lori) Vicentini, age 90, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on March 27, 2025. She was born on January 31, 1935, in Bridgeport, CT. Lori was one of eight children born to Louis and Margaret Magyar. Lori was predeceased by her loving husband, Louis Vicentini, and her infant daughter, Susan. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Sharon Vicentini (Angie Julious), Diana Labich (Richard, Jr.), Donna Podurgiel (Joe), Alicia Pitts (Philip, Jr.), and Bryan Vicentini. She was a beloved grandmother of twelve and a great-grandmother of five.
Lori was known for many things, but above all, her love of God and family was always at the forefront. Lori cherished her years involved with the Emmaus Community and the Holy Family Catholic Church family in Fairfield, Connecticut. After her retirement, she moved to Jacksonville, Florida and found a new church home at St. Joseph's Catholic Church on Old St. Augustine Road. There, she found fellowship and friendship through groups such as CCW, CHRP, and Mary Widows. She also found joy in caring forchildren in many church nurseries around Jacksonville, including St. Joseph's and Christ Church, PCA.
Lori's devotion to her family, both immediate and extended, was boundless and heartfelt. She looked forward to hosting them for a party, cooking meals for them or treating loved ones to her delicious baked goods. She adored all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her pride in them remained strong even in her final days. Lori will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and unwavering faithfulness to her family and community.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 10th, 2025, at 11:00 am at Mountain Grove Cemetery Chapel, 2675 North Avenue, Bridgeport, Connecticut.
