Gregory Michael Chuga, age 89, of Trumbull, beloved husband of the late Barbara Swarney Chuga, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.

Gregory was born in Bridgeport to the late Joseph and Elizabeth Deri Chuga. After graduating from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, he worked at Sikorsky Aircraft for over 40 years, working his way up to Test Operations Supervisor. A devout Catholic, Gregory was an altar boy when he was young and a dedicated parishioner at St. Emery Church, where he spent many years volunteering for their events with his wife. He enjoyed working in his yard appreciating the open air. He was also an avid golfer, a loyal reader and dedicated fan of the UConn Huskies and the New York Giants.

Gregory's memory will be lovingly remembered by his son, Gregory Chuga; his daughter, Deborah Hamilla; his son-in-law, John Hamilla Jr.; his grandchildren, John Hamilla III, Matthew Hamilla and Stephen Hamilla. In addition to his cherished wife, Gregory was predeceased by his brother Derry Chuga, and his wife Maureen.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Lesko Funeral Home, located at 1209 Post Road in Fairfield Center. The funeral mass will take place on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Emery Church, situated at 838 Kings Highway East in Fairfield. Burial will follow at Lawncroft Cemetery.
