Obituary of Glenys Burnett Stack

Glenys Burnett Stack, 86, of New Milford, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 24, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She was predeceased by her cherished parents, Floyd and Laura Chapman Burnett; her beloved husband of over 50 years, Robin Stack; and her dear brothers, William and Clifford Burnett. Glenys shared a special bond with her sister-in-law, Roberta Burnett, who was like a sister to her and will be lovingly remembered. Glenys is survived by her son, Robert, his wife, Alyssa, and their beloved children, Charlotte and Garrett. Born on December 3, 1938, in New Milford, Connecticut, Glenys was a dedicated elementary school teacher at Booth Free School in Roxbury, where she made a significant impact on the lives of countless students. Her commitment to education and community was further exemplified by her role as a former president of the Merryall Chapel Association. As a lifelong member of the First Congregational Church in New Milford, she shared her love and faith with everyone around her. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 1st, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Lesko Funeral Home, located at 1209 Post Road, Fairfield Center. A prayer service will take place at 11:30 AM at the funeral home. Glenys will be laid to rest privately in Upper Merryall Cemetery in New Milford.
