Paula Finnegan

May 4, 1966 – February 11, 2025

Paula Finnegan(nee Muir, formerly Muthersbaugh), 58, of Fairfield, passed away on February 11, 2025, after a valiant fight against triple-negative breast cancer.

She faced her battle with strength and grace. Born in Fairfield, Paula raised her three beautiful daughters in Monroe, surrounded by lifelong friends on Chalk Hill Road. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, whose warmth and adventurous spirit left a lasting impact on all who knew her. Paula had a passion for traveling and trying new restaurants. As a founding member of the CPC, she took great joy in exploring Connecticut's countless pizzerias. Beyond her culinary adventures, Paula delighted in spending time outdoors. She loved to fish, planned memorable family trips, embarked on a safari in Africa, and relished the experience of live music. At home, she found peace in her garden. Her unwavering love for family shone through in the cherished monthly gatherings where birthdays were celebrated and memories were made.

She was predeceased by her father, Robert Muir.

She is survived by her loving husband, Stephen; her mother, Carole Muir; her brother, Scott Muir (Helena); her daughters, Nicole Garaffa (Tim), Ashley Muthersbaugh (Julien Debelle-Duplan), and Taylor Sekelsky (Jake); and her step-sons, Kyle Finnegan (Carolina) and Roch Finnegan. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Madeleine and Jaxon, as well as several nieces and nephews. Paula's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held at the Lesko Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 18, from 4–8 PM. A church service at Holy Family will follow on Wednesday, February 19, at 10 AM. Paula will be buried privately at St. Michael's Cemetery in Stratford. For travel directions or to sign Paula's online guest register, please visit www.LeskoFuneralHome.com.
