Donna Margaret Maher, age 69, of Fairfield, CT, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 26, 2025.

Donna was born in Bridgeport, CT, to Margaret and John Pavlicsak on April 26, 1955. She graduated from Bassick High School in 1973 and worked for over 30 years as a clerk with CETA in Fairfield and the Bridgeport Housing Authority. Donna loved spending time with her grandchildren, going out to lunch with her friends, weekly chats with her sister-in-law Marie, and knitting. Born and raised as a Hungarian Catholic, Donna spent countless hours volunteering at St. Stephen's (Bridgeport), St. Emery's (Fairfield), and Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church (Bridgeport).

Donna is survived by her daughter, Eileen Maher of New York, her son, Michael, and her daughter-in-law Gina of Fairfield, granddaughters Hazel and Lily, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Michael, mother Margaret, father John, brothers David and Thomas, and her loving partner Ken.

A private family service will be held to honor Donna's life, and memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital. The family also wishes to extend their gratitude to the compassionate healthcare professionals who managed her illness and all the wonderful friends and loved ones who cared for her throughout her beautiful life.
