He later went on to work for Bridgeport Machines for over 25 years until his retirement. Papa Joe enjoyed cooking, gardening, movies, and going to parades. A much-loved quartermaster and bus driver with the “Trumbull Cadets” and “Bengal Lancers Jr. Drum and Bugle Corps” of Trumbull.
Together with his wife Audrey they began a tradition of weekly family nights where he would cook his famous sauce. Every Friday night was family night, even the neighborhood children would join. He loved being “Papa Joe”. They are treasures of happy memories for all. Papa Joe lived every moment for his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
