Obituary of Genevieve Vince

Genevieve Hadrys Vince, age 97, of Trumbull, devoted wife of late William Vince, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2021 in the comfort of her own home.

She will be remembered by her beloved nephew, Richard Chadrys, his wife, Maria, of Trumbull, CT; and their daughters, Anne Chadrys and Linda Rogers, with her husband, Phillip, and their children, Landon and Makenzie. As well as, many nephews and nieces in the U.S., Poland, France & Germany.

Genevieve was born on April 8, 1924 in Ozarow, Poland to her parents, Wojciech and Wladyslawa Przybyla Hadrys. She was adored by her six brothers; Piotr, Stanislaw, Kazimierz, Bolestaw, Ryszard and Walerian (all predeceased her).

During WWII, she moved to France with her family where she married and resided until 1946 when she immigrated to the United States. She was a resident of Fairfield County for 75 years. Genevieve worked at Bead Chain for 15 years.

Genevieve and William enjoyed traveling to Europe and around the U.S. She was talented at and enjoyed sewing, knitting, cooking and gardening. Most of all she was dedicated to loving her late husband, nephew, great nieces, and their children. Genevieve's memory will continue to bring joy to her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. directly at St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull with entombment to follow in Mt. Grove Cemetery in Bridgeport. There will be no prior calling hours.
